United wrap up their North American tour with a game in Mexico. A very intriguing game for several reasons not least of which will be seeing the way the Mexican fans respond to Chicharito and how he handles the occasion. This is a big match for the youngster as he plays for Chivas for the last time before heading back to England.

Plus this match comes just 17 days before United kick off their Premier League campaign against Newcastle. Just a little over a fortnight to prepare for the start of a new season.

Not too happy

with the early play of the back 4. Rafael almost gave away a pass, and there was some confusion in the box just now…

Nice shot. We’ve got ourselves a player

18th minute:

Cleverly goes down just outside the box setting up a free kick. Ball goes softly into the wall and the attack fizzles out.

Checking in. Good goals? Though I’d watch the highlights later.

by skipkirk on Jul 31, 2010 3:51 AM BST reply actions

20th minute

Hernandez has had at least 4 shots on goal. 1 went in and the other 3 were only a little bit off.

Piss off Berbatov…I think we’ve found Roo a new strike partner

by leghumpingjihadkiller on Jul 31, 2010 3:53 AM BST reply actions

I wanna see a Berbatov-Chicarito partnership later.

He looks lazy. Again.

Please tell me

I’m not the only one in here watching this display……

Chivas was offsides....

not the goal scorer, but it looked like our boy Hernandez was a full body offside on that free kick….

The hell Bautista threw his shoe for?

by skipkirk on Jul 31, 2010 4:11 AM BST reply actions

I’ve been watching 20 minutes and I still can’t tell the formation.

Cleverly on left wing and de Laet on right wing?

by skipkirk on Jul 31, 2010 4:15 AM BST reply actions

Either way

both are headed back to the reserve squad as soon as the team gets back to Carrington

by leghumpingjihadkiller on Jul 31, 2010 4:17 AM BST up reply actions

The way the game is going everyone is going back to the reserve squad.

by skipkirk on Jul 31, 2010 4:21 AM BST up reply actions

You can’t see the formation because we never have the ball

I don't like how Kuzak is distributing the ball...

…way too many errant passes to the other goalie..

and whats up with our passing today? seems off

Who the heck knows what’s going on.

Scholes is alright. But Berbatov has been either wasteful or isn’t there at all. He can bring the ball down and work through a few defenders but the pass is always off.

by skipkirk on Jul 31, 2010 4:29 AM BST up reply actions

That is the coolest thing ever. The linesmen used spray paint of some sort to mark lines when the freekick was taken.

by skipkirk on Jul 31, 2010 4:45 AM BST reply actions

yeah

forget who developed it, but it makes a lot of sense

I think it’s a crime to have that black and blue jersey for more than one season.

Better than the white shirt we’ll be wearing this year

You’re kiddin. I like the white shirt. Black with the blue V is horrible.

by skipkirk on Jul 31, 2010 7:36 AM BST up reply actions

I’ll take a black shirt with a blue chevron over a white shirt with a lightning bolt design any day

the playing surface had a lot to do with the poor play

,,didn’t look like our players were used to the surface at all

Never looked like we were making any effort whatsoever to put together a cohesive attack. I guess that’s because it is preseason, but if that was a league match I’d be pretty upset with that
