Anderson dragged unconsious from car wreck

UPDATED TO SHOW PICTURE OF ANDERSON'S CAR after the wreck.

Full story over at the guardian  HERE.

So apparently he was partying it up at a nightclub in Portugal and left sometime in the morning in his Audi R8 and somehow had three people including himself in the car (it's a two seat roadster). At this point it's all speculation but he might be the subject of a DUI.

I really had hopes for Anderson but this may be the final straw for Sir Alex being that Anderson is supposed to be rehabbing his ACL and ends up spending the night at a night club. I wouldn't be surprised to seem him be left off of the 25 man squad at the very least until the January. Pending the outcome of the investigation and if he was found to be drunk driving at 7am I'd say it's time to let him go. Make room for Cleverley/Ozil.

Thoughts?

My thoughts on the DUI are this: I don’t care that he was at a club partying till whatever time he did. But drink driving is stupid. Even if he hadn’t got into a car crash and someone pulled him over for DUI, then he should be punished by the club somehow.

I reckon he’ll get suspended IF it was found that he was drink driving (which wasn’t mentioned in the article).

Agreed on all these points

but let’s not forget that SAF has a history of forgiving players if he believes their side of the story. ie Johnny Evans. And thank God he didn’t rush to judge young Johnny. If he was drunk driving he will be punished and rightfully so. Let’s hope no one was hurt and that Anderson grows up after this incident.

Exactly, he may not have been drink driving. It seems like it because he was driving home from a nightclub and that no one hit him ie he hit something that was immobile.

I can wait for the full story. Besides, manutd.com hasn’t published a word from the club.

Well I know Ronaldo loves to go to the club

but he is also a teetotaler so just cause a guy goes to the club it doesn’t mean he was drunk. And we aren’t sure Anderson was driving are we? Just cause it was his car. Maybe the other guy was sober so he drove. Or maybe he was less drunk than Anderson so he drove.

UPDATED to show picture of the wreck.

Again yes it’s all speculation at this point as to what the cause was but at a club until 7am, 3 people in a 2 seater. Where there is smoke there is fire most of the time.

But what is the fire?

Anderson drove drunk?
Anderson drove and was sober but distracted by having too many people in his car?
Someone else drove drunk?
Someone else drove sober but was distracted?
Mechanical failure?

How many of those are plausible? And how many involved Anderson drink driving?
Let’s not judge this until we know for sure what happened.

If he had been drinking before he got into the car, then he’s an idiot. Goodbye

I’m the only useful idiot here.

…Even in seriousness, I’d argue that Anderson hasn’t been very useful at all… But that’s a bit cruel

Come on he has been useful

even if just for that FA Cup game where we destroyed Arsenal and he ran Cesc off the pitch.

Haha

Still not completely sold on Anderson. I know I’m disagreeing with Sir Alex here but I don’t think he’s been used quite right while at United. He’s an attacking midfielder and should be played as such. He’s had to take over the role that Owen. H would have been playing, almost a defensive midfielder and I dont’ think that plays to his strengths. He really needs to be up top supplying the ball instead of chasing it.

I think with his pace and his tackling ability

they want him to be more of a box to box type. He has the ability I just don’t think he quite has the experience and the know how just yet.
