What a great performance against Newcastle!
I was only really able to catch the second half of the match, and here's what I saw tactically.
I think the difference between the first-half play and the second-half play was the ability to execute the passing triangles. Our play was so simple, yet looked so fluid and pretty because the players were moving in rotations that kept triangle passing lanes open-- it looked a lot like fluid Brazilian tactics.

Im thinking that i am loving that picture!
Good performance. Scholes was the DON!! Would have liked to have seen maybe 1 or two more goals for all the possesion we had, but a good start to the season. 3rd goal was class and was pleased with Berba!
Loved the game
Thought Scholes played brilliantly, plus a nice goal from Giggs as well. Not sure what to make of your chart up there though.

Those are the movements and passing triangles I noticed in the second half when we were effective
Perfect example: some player to Scholes right to the streaking Giggs (in sub for Nani #17). See that orange triangle, that was exactly it!

I would’ve liked to see more from the wings, but overall I was pleased with that performance. Wayne needs to take more shots outside the box instead of always trying to dribble around his defenders, but his passing and vision are still spot on.
