Busby Babe FIFA '11 Xbox Live league?
I've yet to do an online FIFA league and I'm participating in my first online Madden league this year. I figured we have a large enough membership to try to do this.
The idea would be to hopefully have at least half the league filled up by people through here. More after the jump.
My hope would be to have enough people to actually play out the season with a full schedule of human played fixtures. Worse comes to worse we put out feelers to the other EPL blogs on here and get some friendly blog competition going.

I'd love to join, but I don't have XBox 360
If I’m gonna go buy a console, it’ll probably be a PS3 so I can get Gran Tourismo 5 in November…
I just sold a Xbox360 on ebay. You would have been set. Get one just to play FIFA with people, FIFA is annoying on the PS3.

Absolute lie. Have you played “FIFA World Cup 2010” yet? It’s one of the best sports games ever.

Yeah, some friends have it
FIFA Online has pretty much the same thing, but also has regular club teams. The game is pretty limited (because it’s beta) but it’ll get way better after seeing what EA is doing with their online gaming platforms (I’m also playing the NFS: World beta and Tiger Woods Online beta.)
At any rate, it’s all about GT5 when it comes to buying a console…and it’s PS3 only.
A big Meh. Forza is better.

I'm passing of FIFA this year I think in favor of PES
The online master league just looks awesome, I really can’t wait to dig into it. I have a feeling FIFA 12 will have to do that as a reaction to PES.

I don’t know if you’ve seen the trailers/game play videos for FIFA ’11 yet but you really should before buying PES. It is truly blowing PES out of the water this year.

The manager mode sucked in Fifa 10, and it doesn't sound like they did anything to improve it in 11.
EA always releases a product so filled with bugs that I just don’t enjoy it. It sure looks pretty though.

The overhauled the manager mode in 11. That’s actually the big selling point this year

That and an epic load of gameplay changes to an already great game (2010 World Cup).

It looks like signings and transfer negotiations will be tougher to pull off and more realistic. This is a long overdue change.

Mhm. I especially like the changing of the budget for transfers. You get “X” amount and choose what % of it you want to devote towards transfer purchases and what % you want towards salaries. Great change.

There are still quite a few things I'm not a fan of that it doesn't sound like they've addressed.
From the early beta testing, it doesn’t sound like they’ve fixed the injury thing yet. They also still have the stupid 15 season limit. I really don’t like that if you sign guys like Neymar and Bojan in your first year you’ll never have to replace them. As I get towards later seasons, there really is no reason to buy young developing players anymore. I’d rather just end my career when I become bored rather than at 15 seasons.

I’ve never played out the full 15 seasons so I don’t have the same complaint as you. But on the injury side, yes it needs to be fixed and badly. It is not realistic whatsoever.
Still, the game is improving rapidly. It will be leaps and bounds better than PES and could be considered one of the best sports video games ever.

Have you looked into the Master League Online at all yet?
It really is worth a look. I just wish PES could get some licenses

I have but I will not be purchasing PES. Since I started playing FIFA (‘08), I have grown very found of the franchise. ’10 proved to a lot of people that FIFA had finally caught up to PES and now ’11 looks like it will be far ahead of PES ’11. I’ll take FIFA over PES this year, hands down.
Plus I’ve gotten pretty good at FIFA in the past year. I can’t give up my dominance amongst my friends.

I am not much of a gamer
but I do have a PS3. Play it very rarely. MLB10 the show is the bomb though. I am maybe the greatest pitcher of all time in that game.

Gah, that’s unfortunate. I was hoping to get you in on this. Like I said, worse comes to worse I get a representative from each of our EPL blogs here on sbnation and then figure out the rest. I’m looking at the challenge of using a mid table team.
