Champions League draw pool

She looks better in United Red. (Photo by Shaun Botterill/Getty Images)

OK so based on leghumpingjihadkiller's fanpost about the Champions League draw I figured we should do a pool. Guess the teams that United will face in the Champions League correctly to win a prize. I will provide the winner with a vintage Manchester United kit.

So it's simple. Pick the three teams that will face United in the Champions league group stage and you can win. This will be first come first served. So if someone already picked the teams you wanted tough luck.

UEFA has a page up in case you need a refresher on the rules for the draw.

I don't know why

but I just knew we would draw Rangers. Seems like we always draw the Scottish team these days.

It's not an easy group

but it’s not a killer group either. Valenica and Rangers will be good tests for this club and (depending how they schedule everything) could mean a fantastic opportunity for some players looking to work their way onto (or back onto) the squad.

How about....

…..Werder Bremen, Ajax, Auxerre

Although honestly, hoping we don’t get Ajax from Pot 3

The draw is rigged, and I have inside sources who tell me United will draw:

Roma
Ajax
Rubin Kazan

Also, that’s probably the last time Balotelli will be so close to a Champions League trophy.

Not bad. Rangers will be a tough opponent but Valencia lost their two best players and I know nothing about Buraspor but safe to say we should handle them easily

Rangers can’t score, but they will sure as hell make it difficult for us too, plus, with so much pride on the line, it’s much harder for a fellow British team to do well, rather than Barce or Inter for example.

Valencia still has some quality left, and they should be able to squeak into the next stage, but they don’t scare me now that they don’t have Villa/Silva.
