Carlos Tevez gets by John Terry as City makes it 3 straight against Chelsea (from The Guardian via Andrew Yates/AFP/Getty Images)

I didn't get to see the City/Chelsea game...later on, I'll watch it on ESPN3.  I did however watch parts of the Blackburn/Blackpool match and the full Liverpool/Sunderland match.  I'm watching the 45 minute highlights of Birmingham/Wigan right now.  The thing I'm learning this weekend (and I hope United are as well) is to make sure of what you're doing.  The freak goal in Liverpool, Steven Gerrard's almost own goal and Charlie Adam's ill-advised header are all examples of why it's important not to get complacent around the goal.  A slow rolling backpass is all it takes for some of these strikers to be set free.

AND FINALLY:

LIVERPOOL 2 (Kuyt 5; Gerrard 64)
SUNDERLAND 2
(Bent (pen)25, 48)

Darren Bent scored his 150th and 151st Premier League goals as Sunderland and Liverpool play to a point each. One week after Cesc Fabregas' freakish goal, Liverpool got one of their own as Adams tapped the ball back to his keeper on a free-kick, but made the ball live.  He walked away from the ball and Fernando Torres raced in and took possession.  He looked at the line judge to see if everything was good (so did the keeper) and passed the ball over to Kuyt who slid the ball past the keeper. Probably the strangest goal we'll see this year, but I said that last week, too.

Hillarious picture of old man Terry looking on in concern while a man with a terrible haircut dances onto his Petunias.

Yeah

Gives United a chance to make up some of the points they gave away to Fulham and Everton.

They won't be the only team to drop

points in those two places. If Everton get things sorted out.
