I'm still waiting on the Match Pack that ManUtd.com puts out, I'll add it in when I get up in the morning.
VALENCIA AND SQUAD NEWS:
- Previews! ( ManUtd.com | Manchester Evening News ( Mathieson's Valencia Profile ) | BBC | ESPN | Telegraph )
- Michael Carrick travels to Valencia with the team, but Gary Neville and Paul Scholes didn't ( Manchester Evening News | Sky | ESPN | FSC | Sun | Telegraph | Daily Mail )
- Darren Fletcher must maintain possession and can't afford to take Valencia lightly ( ManUtd.com | Sky )
- Wes Brown says United have the quality to beat Valencia ( ManUtd.com )
- Edwin van der Sar talked about the game as well ( UEFA )
- Ryan Giggs expects a raucous crowd in Valencia ( ManUtd.com )
- I could probably put these links under the injury report, but Rio Ferdinand supposedly stood most of the 2 hour flight to Spain and always has a specially built "booster seat" for him to sit on that forces him to have good posture and relax the tension in his back. The Sun also includes their "likely lineup" ( Sun )
- ManUtd.com: Nick Coppack: Today in Valencia
- Darron Gibson wants to make the first team ( Sky )
- The United Religion: Back To The Basics, Please
LIKELY LINE-UP - United: Van der Sar, O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Fletcher, Gibson, Anderson, Park, Berbatov.
SIR ALEX:
- say it would be foolish not to respect Valencia's home record over the years ( ManUtd.com )
- Here is the headline from the Mirror: "Fergie loses patience with reporters as Rooney ruled out until mid-October" It's trash like this that causes me to rarely post Mirror links any more:
"It's an ankle injury," said Fergie. "What do you want me to say? Do you want me to describe every ligament? Christ.
I don't really consider that "losing patience" though I suppose the Mirror reporter could have been needling him for more specifics. Even so, this is the only story I saw with headline anything like this.
MORE LINKS AFTER THE JUMP!
TRANSFER NEWS/RUMORS:
- Conor Devlin headed to League One side Hartlepool on a one month loan ( Sky )
- An update on how United loanees are faring ( ManUtd.com )
- David de Gea says he's focused on Atletico Madrid...( Sky | Daily Mail )
- ...not reports that Manchester United are interested ( Manchester Evening News )

- Wow, was I psychic or something? Rooney gone for 2-3 weeks.... ( ManUtd.com | Manchester Evening News | Sky | BBC | ESPN | FSC | Telegraph | Sun | Daily Mail | Guardian )
- The Daily Mail: Rooney's absence against Valencia could be a blessing
- Manchester Evening News: James Robson: Rooney should follow Scholes' lead
- Manchester Evening News: David Sadler column

- SB Nation: Spencer Hall reviews Qatar's World Cup Stadiums
- We Ain't Got No History (Chelsea): Chelsea 2-0 Maresille: Game Recap
- The Short Fuse (Arsenal): Partizan 1-3 Arsenal: Match report

AND FINALLY: I don't know if this link will work, but UEFA has been picking out a game from every year of the Champion's League and making a video about it. Their latest video has the headline "Blomqvist takes centre stage as IFK shock United" I hope the link works, it didn't work right out of my reader, so I went and found it.
