Javier Hernandez and Antonio Valencia traveled to Guadalajara and played, I couldn't find much about this game, but I think they played 90 minutes each.

SQUAD NEWS:

JAMIE CARRAGHER'S TESTIMONIAL: Michael Owen played 45 minutes for Scouse scum in front of a really poor crowd, not only in numbers but in class.  However, I don't imagine Carlos Tevez would get a good reception in a testimonial as a United player, either.

  • The Republik of Mancuina: Keano and Giggsy Emphasize Carragher's Testimonial Embarrassment Perhaps the most telling of all is the comparison of attendence numbers for Carragher vs. Keene and Giggs.  They don't mention Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's testimonial numbers...no idea what those were, but I'd imagine OT was more than 78% full.

OT attendance for Ole was great. United fans are great with testimonial matches. I guess it’s cause we give them to those who really deserve them.

And I don’t think Tevez would be welcome in a red shirt for a testimonial. In any case, he was only here for two years.

Well Tevez is a different case, he defected to a rival for greater PT. I mean, maybe understandable as a player, but gonna make you grumpy as a fan. But Michael Owen signed with MU when basically nobody else would take him. Completely different deal.

BTW, they need to start frontpaging you here LHJK

Glory glory Man United, AND the other MU, AAAAnd the Leafs. I think I need a drink now.

I wasn't trying to compare the Tevez and Owen equally

I’m just saying he (Tevez) could expect the same type of reception from United fans, if he were to be included as a Red for a testimonial. I can’t think of anyone who’d particularly want him in their testimonial, just trying to put some perspective on it.
