I will give credit to Aldershot
They have been holding this own for far.

They have played well. Could have score with better luck.

Absolutely
They had one or tow, they just couldn’t cash in.

a few HT thoughts
- the movement and energy from Cleverley & Park completely overran Aldershot in the center. I’m surprised Aldershot didn’t use another player in the middle and look to use the pace of Hylton & McGlashan to hit United on the counter. Cleverley & Park had a good understanding that 1st half.
- Berbatov & Owen might be the pairing to ride for a Carling Cup run. The former was brilliant in the opening 45 mintues and looks hungry.
- Vidic’s timing appears off. He simply doesn’t look very sharp.
- United’s attack was one-sided… Fabio’s overlapping runs are pinning back Rodman.
- Fryers seems concerned with McGlashan and his pace. He’s staying back. Diouf needs to make more intelligent runs off the ball.

I think
Berba tends to look brilliant against lower level competition and fade against the tougher… Just an observation.
I wouldn't argue against it
But I still think he’s a very good player if he plays regularly. It’s just that he disappears at times….

Valencia...
I don’t know whats going with him. He simply cannot beat anyone one-on-one anymore. His taxi for Ashley Cole performance seems ages ago now.

I shouldn't say anymore....
but at the moment. It’s been a moment that has lasted a few weeks.

I'm with you on this
Wonder if he’s another Carrick that only come out full force come the later half of the season.

he was named one of the best XI in the Prem a few seasons back
and his leg was destroyed last year… tough to say that

it'll be interesting to see if either Park or Valencia get subbed off early...
in order for a little more rest. One could be deployed on the right on Saturday to track Leighton Baines

Morrison looked good. Lots of delicate touch passes
Maybe almost too many, but you can see what all they promise was about.
