POST-MATCH REACTION THREAD: Manchester United 2-0 Otelul Galati
It was not the most convincing of victories but it was a vital three points. With Benfica playing to a draw with FC Basel, Manchester United go top in Group C. A win at Old Trafford versus Benfica in the next UEFA Champions League tie will guarantee United the top spot in their group. Early on, a marauding Phil Jones whipped in a cross that found Antonio Valencia for the opening goal in the 8th minute. It appeared the route was on. It wasn't. A nervous Old Trafford crowd had to endure another 79 minutes before Wayne Rooney scored from distance on a deflected shot. Jones and Rooney were superb. Anderson not so much. Everyone else was somewhere in between.
Overall, it has been fairly lackluster for United thus far in their four European ties. However, they do top the group now and the common belief is that United will find their form for the knock-out stages. I sure hope they find it for Benfica.
How did you feel about the match? Who was your United man of the match?

Napoli get City at home
Hopefully they can take all 3 pts versus City. Napoli is my favorite Serie A side to watch right now

that would be fun...
it’s just a matter of having access to Scholes’ passing stats. I’ll do it sometime if I can find it.

That'd be great
Lets not forget, Scholsey started his career a lot further forward than what he finished it

Someone
once said on this very site that Rooney could be the next Scholes.
I was banned from Bleed Cubbie Blue because my sig had the word "fuck" in it and I wasn't willing to change it nor was I willing to let Al Yellon access my account and make changes to my sig (which he did) so watch out for that ego maniac and his tyrannical ways.

I think quite a few people have said that
I certainly expect him to slide into midfield at some point down the line.
Not now for me though. He has too many goals in him
