I’m guessing Carrick sits deeper while Cleverley has some freedom

probably important to keep in mind

Cleverley’s first game since October. I worry a bit about United fans having way too high expectations for the kid.

Pressing Game

Always a bit nervy when teams decide to press united high up the pitch, i think thats the surprise De boer wants to spring on Utd tonite

by SmittenByManutd on Feb 16, 2012 5:16 PM GMT reply actions

Hopefully Chica

Can get in behind and stretch their D as a way to relieve pressure then

Shit corner Nani

Being undercooked is not an excuse either

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 6:07 PM GMT reply actions

good movement

And a good pass to find him though

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 6:17 PM GMT up reply actions

Yeah, good pass by Young

he seems to be taking up a central position right now…good to see some versatility

by Amen Amachigh on Feb 16, 2012 6:19 PM GMT up reply actions

Allows Fabio to bomb down the wing too

Like what Liverpool done to us with Kuyt cutting in and Johnson getting forward

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 6:20 PM GMT up reply actions

Good idea Young

Executuion just failed him though

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 6:18 PM GMT reply actions

Ohhh almost

Rooney with a through ball that Chica almost latches on too

Just a tad too heavy though.

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 6:23 PM GMT reply actions

Sure was. Even had a late jump to get there.

by Caviarhound on Feb 16, 2012 6:33 PM GMT up reply actions

Very athletic play to get to that one

by Amen Amachigh on Feb 16, 2012 6:34 PM GMT up reply actions

Diving to his left

Both hands… and it was finding the inside of the post

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 6:32 PM GMT reply actions

Great passage of play

Several dangerous crosses whipped in

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 6:42 PM GMT reply actions

I think he has played well

He hasn’t been busting his ass all over the field, but just held back slightly and pulled some strings. If he bombs forward he’l leave us exposed.

A good performance for his first in almost 5 or so months

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 6:56 PM GMT up reply actions

Yep

Not all over the place probing as we are used to, but my word Nani can be frustrating!

Was that a shot cross conversion attempt??

Better second half i hope

Ha

Bob Marley playing in the Stadium

How fitting for Amsterdam

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 7:01 PM GMT reply actions

Right fella's

I have to love you and leave you. Football training calls

Play nice…. Here’s hoping for a United goal or two

by Sweet science on Feb 16, 2012 7:14 PM GMT reply actions

NICE! Goal by Young

I thought he lost his chance when he didn’t hit it 1st time…but he made room for himself and put his foot through it….well deserved based on the run of play.

by Amen Amachigh on Feb 16, 2012 7:16 PM GMT reply actions

Not to mention that keeper was right on top of positioning to make the stop but just couldn’t close up fast enough.

by Caviarhound on Feb 16, 2012 7:17 PM GMT up reply actions

hate that hashtag. Implies that gay sexual attraction is the default reason that people would assume motivated your statement… and implies also that this supposition is a fate that you need to work hard to avoid. All of which is a bit homophobic, really.

Keep it classy.

Doesn't seem like we're trying to get the 2nd goal...

We seem to be shutting it down a little bit…not sure why with only one goal up.

by Amen Amachigh on Feb 16, 2012 7:41 PM GMT reply actions

Let's get another one

Shut this one down and make the return leg a formality.

by Amen Amachigh on Feb 16, 2012 7:43 PM GMT reply actions

DAMN!!!

I didn’t wake up to watch this!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!

by dingmajiao on Feb 16, 2012 10:01 PM GMT reply actions

Well we won...

Got a 2-0 decsion going back to OT next week. I know Sir Alex wasn’t happy with the result but they got up two goals in Amsterdam and that’s a plus.

How they play though? Didn’t see it since I don’t have Directv.

BTW got that colorful and creative looking stand at Amsterdam ArenA, can’t say there wasn’t effort being but into that lol.
