Manchester United 2012/13 home shirt confirmed

Manchester United's 2012/13 kits were leaked a few months ago but the home shirt was confirmed today. The tartan print is supposedly in homage to manager Sir Alex Ferguson's 25 years at the club. The shirt also has a black v-neck.

Aesthetics is certainly something that is to each their own. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder (or beer holder). The shirt obviously differs from recent designs. The current home shirt is a solid red design with a mixed white and black neckline. The previous season's shirt was very similar but differed in that it had a white collar that was somewhat reminiscent of days from when Eric Cantona used to pop his collar.

Personally, I don't hate it nor do I love it. It's kind of just 'meh' to me. I really liked the solid red design but I wasn't a big fan of the white and black mixed neckline -- I'd prefer just a single color.

How do you feel about next year's home shirt? Will you be purchasing one? If so, which player's shirt?
