Well that is depressing! Manchester United target Eden Hazard has announced on twitter that he will join Chelsea. It has been reported that Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea were fighting tooth and nail to sign the wonderkid, but it is the European Champions that have won the battle.

It is not all doom and gloom, as United have some very good wingers on their books, so there was a question's as to if we really needed him. And his vast transfer fee and wages would have seriously dented our funds. Yet as he is, or will be, world class I feel that as he was available, it is still a bitter loss. For Chelsea, this is a seriously good move. They have not had a truly world class winger since Arjen Robben left them, and Hazard has the potential to be even better than the Dutch flyer.

Lets hope that United can re-group, and snap up the signing of Shinji Kagawa and a truly world class centre midfielder. Luka Modric or Javi Martinez would be golden if you are reading David Gill!
