Manchester United V Liverpool: Player Ratings

I believeeee I can flyyyyyyyyy (Photo by Shaun Botterill/Getty Images)

Here are the player ratings for Manchester United's game againt Liverpool this past Saturday. For the Liverpool ratings, click here for Bromatic's take over at Anfield Asylum.

A score of 1 being the lowest (Eric Djemba-Djemba standard), 10 being the highest (Messi like) A score of 6 will be standard, 7 is solid, a very good game will get an 8, 9 is good for outstanding and 10 is unplayable. 10's will be very rare. Not only will they have to play the game of their life, but it will usually come against a team of good quality or in a big match (Finals, championship deciding game's etc.)

David De Gea - For the second week running, the Spaniard had a solid weekend. Didn't screw up, made some solid saves. Good stuff. Got a little reprieve when Luis Suarez snuck in front of him to head toward goal, but the Liverpool man was offside (And he stuck the header over too). Couldn't do anything about the goal. 7/10

Rafael - The little Brazilian shows so much desire it is endearing. He flys into challenges and win's the ball when he shouldn't. Gets down the right wing and helps Antonio Valencia cause havok too. Very good performance, keeping Stewart Downing quiet too. 8/10

Jonny Evans - Another good game in which he showed such great composure on the ball (Rio would be proud). Received the ball in numerous dangerous positions, yet still worked his way out of trouble, retaining possession. The only mistake he made was not heading the ball away from the free-kick that led to the goal. Shame that. 7.5/10

Rio Ferdinand - Made some vital challenges. The Suarez one was particularly pleasing (Unless you are Jamie Redknapp, the tool). The ball bounced off of him for the goal, but he had such little time to react, you can't really blame him. 7.5/10

Patrice Evra - Well at least it was an improvement on last week, not that that says too much. Still is getting skinned far too often which cause us too many problems. Glen Johnson caused us far too many problems when he galloped up the right wing. 4.5/10

POST MATCH REACTION: Manchester United 2 - 1 Liverpool

HAHAHAHAHAHA. lol. BAAAHAHAHAhahahahahahahaha (Photo by Shaun Botterill/Getty Images)

Right, I am going to get this out of the way first. Suarez didn't shake Patrice Evra's hand. It was a dumb move by the Liverpool striker.

Lets move on

A tentative first half which almost dragged was followed by a quite brilliant start to the second. For the second game in a row, Rooney took the game by the scruff of the neck and slotted home twice within the first five minutes of the restart. A corner that was flicked on by Liverpool's Jordan Henderson was volleyed home with force by Wayne Rooney. Wazza then captilized on Valencia's pass, after the Equadorian had dispossesed Jay Spearing in their own half.

That man Luis Suarez grabbed a late consolation for the scowsers, captilizing on a failed header from Jonny Evans, after the ball had bounced off of Rio Ferdinand. David De Gea made a good late stop from a good strike from Glen Johnson, who was possibly Liverpool's most consistant threat during the game.

At the final whistle, I loved how Patrice lapped up the warmth from the Old Traffod crowd. Shame he has been usless for the last two weeks. One hopes now that he won't play Liverpool again this season, his form improves. Fergie shows no sign of dropping him.

Manchester United V Chelsea: Player Ratings

LONDON, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 05: Javier Hernandez of Manchester United (14) celebrates with team mates as he scores their third goal with a header during the Barclays Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on February 5, 2012 in London, England. Here are the ratings for yesterdays brilliant game on superbowl Sunday. Manchester United arguably were not deserving of going down three nil, but they came storming back to tie the game 3-3.

A score of 1 being the lowest (Stefan Savic standard), 10 being the highest (Messi like) A score of 6 will be standard, 7 is solid, a very good game will get an 8, 9 is good for outstanding and 10 is unplayable. 10's will be very rare. Not only will they have to play the game of their life, but it will usually come against a team of good quality or in a big match (FInals, championship deciding game's etc.)

David De Gea - Maybe his finest game in Manchester United colours. Looked nervous early on, exhibited with punching a ball that my gran could have caught. But oh my did he make up for any shortcomings. Made some smart stops in the first half but made three or four top class saves and one a truly world class save from Jaun Mata's late free kick that could have won it for Chelsea. That for me was save of the season so far. 8/10

Rafael - The best of the United defenders. Kept Malouda quiet and won the ball back on numerous occasions. He is fantastic at nipping in front of attackers to nick the ball. 6.5/10

Rio Ferdinand - Not his finest hour. I think Torres had his number. Made a careless pass or two which is rare for him. Part of a defense that let in 3 goals. 4.5/10

Jonny Evans - See above. 4.5/10

Patrice Evra - Awful. Arguably at fault for all three goals. Sturridge beat him far too easily for the first. Got sucked inside and had no chance of cutting out the cross for the second. And let his man go for the third. Won the first penalty, but that was an appalling game for our stand in captain. 3/10

Post match reaction: Chelsea 3 - 3 Manchester United! Both teams battle to thrilling draw on Super Bowl Sunday

What a massive leap for our third goal (Photo by Shaun Botterill/Getty Images)

What an amazing game. A really fantastic display of football. Having been sucker punched after the break by two Chelsea goals making the margin 3:0, Manchester United came storming back. Two penalties for the second game in a row, both converted by Wayne Rooney, and a header from Chicharito leveled the game with under ten minutes left.

After that, the game was anyone's. Chelsea had the better of this period forcing two brilliant saves from the much talked about David De Gea.

He did not let us down. First a free kick from Juan Mata was heading for the top corner (And I mean the top corner). Goalkeepers should not be saving those. De Gea somehow deflected it away.

Next, Gary Cahill on his Chelsea Debut powered an effort that De Gea tipped over. That is why he is one of the best GK prospects in the world.

Early on though, he seemed nervous. He punched a ball a 10 yr old could have caught, adding to the doubters worries. (Me being one of them)

And Chelsea's opening goal deflected off the keeper onto a helpless Jonny Evans. To be fair, there was not much the Spaniard could have done. Daniel Sturridge skinned a poor Patrice Evra far too easily, and poked the ball towards goal, onto the keeper's leg and off a helpess Evans.

1-0 at Half time.
